2014 Gemini Full Moon – Both Sides Now (Emerging Truths, Exposing Lies)

The Moon enters its fullest phase in the sign of Gemini at 4:47a PST on Saturday, 6th December 2014, opposite the Sagittarius Sun at 14°.  When it does, it has plenty to say about where we are individually and collectively and where we may be going next.

Gemini is the communicator of the Zodiac.  It thrives on gathering and exchanging information, ideas, and insights.  It’s also known as the perpetual child and/or student energy of the Zodiac, and is often found asking questions or being very observant and attentive.  Gemini is also an excellent multi-tasker, and quickly processes any and all information it gathers, often picking up on little bits of information even if you think things are too busy or chaotic for anyone to notice.  To that point, Gemini will usually pick up on whatever you may be trying to hide…

…Which is why this 2014 Gemini Full Moon is so remarkable.  Opposing the Sagittarius Sun, the Moon is reflecting the Sun’s search for Truth back onto itself.  It reminds us that our external search for Truth often reflects our internal search for Truth.  When we are seeking to explain or understand what is happening within ourselves, we tend to search outside ourselves for the answers – seeking answers, inspiration, and/or guidance through experiences or through others.

Gemini is also the sign of “the twins”, which reminds us of its duplicity and duality.  There are two sides to every story; every action has an equal and opposite reaction.  The emergence of truth means that there will also be an exposure of lies.  Both will need to be faced and dealt with under the light of this 2014 Gemini Full Moon, which may help us  finally come to terms with the truth about ourselves, both collectively and individually, through external events.

During the Sagittarius New Moon and numerological 9 energy on 22nd November, there was an opportunity to move on from the outgrown and outdated to begin new adventures, especially on an emotional level.  Now under the 2014 Gemini Full Moon and the numerological 1 energy of December 2014, this is a wonderful opportunity to understand what is behind your desired course shift and to bring a new intellectual component to your human experience adventure.  For you as an individual, you are in a position to understand why you are becoming who you are becoming in your life if have chosen to shift course into uncharted territory.  And for those of you who are doing your best to stick with the status quo, you may gain some great insight into why you are choosing to remain the same.

Mercury, the ruling planet of Gemini, is within 3° conjunction orb of the Sagittarius Sun (at 12° Sagittarius), and is therefore opposite its sign of rulership and the Full Moon.  This is an indicator that there will be plenty of information coming to Light in ways that are big, bold, and blunt.  Truths will be revealed in ways that cannot be hidden or denied.  This will include truths revealed to ourselves by ourselves.  Our own behaviors and beliefs will help us awaken to who we are truly being in our lives, giving us an opportunity to know ourselves in ways we may never have seen ourselves before now.

We get to face the truths and lies about ourselves and our lives in ways that we haven’t been able to before now.  There are experiential, emotional, and intellectual comprehensions that get to come into focus at this time and may change the course of humanity permanently in doing so.  This may very well be a tipping point where we begin to awaken to what we have become up to this point, and where we get to decide where and how we are going from here.

We see this as we are currently experiencing a global increase in awareness of racial, religious, sexual, and cultural prejudices and the detrimental behaviors that result from them is having many of us reassessing both our thoughts, beliefs, and the credibility of our information sources.   The questions abound:

• Who can we trust?
• Is what they are saying actually and factually true?
• Do they really believe what they are saying?
• Do we really believe what they are saying?
• Are we believing and saying what is really true for ourselves?

There are so many things coming to Light that are having us question ourselves and our lives, and this is wonderful!  This may be revealing that it is time for us to experience intellectual independence and/or an information revolution.  This 2014 Gemini Full Moon may mark the seeds of the resurrection of critical thinking as individuals begin to realize that what they are being told may not actually be real or true.

It’s time to begin distinguishing the truth from the lies for ourselves as Sagittarius’ essence is awakened in the reflection of the Sagittarius Sun’s light by this 2014 Gemini Full Moon.  We get to see both sides now.

Mercury in Sagittarius…Again – Sharing “The True You”

Mercury re-enters Sagittarius today at 5:40p PST, bringing blunt but kind-hearted honesty back into the mix through to the end of 2012.  It came into Sagittarius for a short time back in November, then went retrograde back into Scorpio.  Now it’s back in direct motion to see its run through for 2012.

What’s great about Mercury in Sagittarius is that it holds no punches.  Not to say that it intends to injure, but the truth can sometimes hurt and Sagittarius’ number one commitment is to making sure the truth gets spoken.  Sometimes when you don’t want the truth to come out or if you’re not prepared for the truth to be revealed, it can be a bit painful or shocking when it comes to Light.  But remember – Sag usually doesn’t mean to cause pain.  It just wants to be honest.

This is not to say that Sagittarius can’t have a bit of a mean streak to them.  It can, especially when it feels truth has been held back from it for no good reason.  Then it can use the truth it discovers to “stick it” to the offending person.  Withholding truth is never really a good idea when dealing with Sagittarius, and especially when both Mercury and the Sun are traveling through the sign.

Then again, there is no other sign that can be as forgiving when it comes to withheld truths.  When you can explain why you didn’t cough up the truth from the get-go, Sagittarius will usually understand…even if they’re a bit upset that you didn’t or wouldn’t confide it in them in the first place.  If there’s anything to know for sure, Sagittarius is open-minded and expansive enough to hear or see the real reasons behind anything.  Sagittarius can always handle the truth.

And for the record, don’t feel too badly about not telling them in the first place.  Unless there’s a lot of Scorpio in an individual’s chart or Scorpio is on their ascendant, there’s no reason to think they’d keep your truth a secret anyway.  Sagittarius can be known for speaking the truth, even when it’s not theirs to share.  If anything, that is one thing you definitely want to be aware of during this Mercury in Sagittarius period – your truth (especially some of your deepest secrets) may come out beyond your control.

Sagittarius won’t necessarily reveal your truth on purpose.  It usually won’t even be meant to hurt you.  It’s just that Sag will always believe that the truth is the best policy, sometimes even when it’s not their truth to tell…though they will often speak it with casual and earnest innocence in the most positive way.  They don’t mean to spill your secrets or share your business with everyone.  It’s just that they really didn’t think it was THAT big of a deal, even if it is a big deal to you.  That said, you may want to let them know up front that it’s not something you want everyone to know…or you may consider getting up to the podium before them.

Today also happens to be a Universal 9 day numerologically.  9 is completion energy, and a good day to bring things to an end.  With Mercury moving into Sagittarius on this 9 day natalizing this energy for its 2012 cycle, if there’s a truth you’ve been hiding or denying, now may be a good time to stop the hiding and to start shining.  Put that long-hidden truth out there.   Then you can move forward with your life and all the new things you are thinking about being and doing on a foundation of honesty and integrity.

All of that being said, with Mercury in Sagittarius, now’s the time to stop hiding and speak your truth.  Speak it loud, and speak it proud.  Put it out there for no other reason that it’s the truth of who you are and you’re probably tired of hiding it anyway!  Each and all of us is being called upon to be 100% who we truly are in and for this world – don’t go hiding on us now!  We need “The True You”!

And most important, you need “The True You”, too.

The Truth is Coming…from the Inside Out

Mercury goes retrograde in Sagittarius this week – on Wednesday November 23^rd at 11:19p PST to be exact.  This makes for a very interesting dynamic in communications as Sagittarius’ natural inclination is to speak very truthfully…which also tends to come out as very bluntly.  When Mercury is retrograde, it tends to turn thoughts and conversations inward.  Therefore, with the Sagittarius Mercury turned inward, it is a time to be honest and truthful with yourself.

The thing to know here is that none of us can really be honest with anyone else if we aren’t willing to be honest with ourselves. It’s like lying by default – it may not be your intention to lie to others, but if you aren’t willing to tell the truth about yourself to yourself, you certainly aren’t speaking it to others.  And if you’ve had to convince yourself that what you are saying or doing is honest, your mind and thoughts are lying to you as well.

The Sun moves into Sagittarius on Tuesday November 22^nd at 8:08a PST. So when Mercury goes retrograde the next day, the effects of the Mercury retrograde are even more obvious to us.  Wherever you’ve been less than honest with yourself in your life will begin coming to light right now, as it’s likely that you will have a more difficult time keeping the truth from coming out.  That, or you may find that others begin to ask questions of you as they see that your “facts” aren’t adding up.

This whole dynamic comes to a head early on Sunday December 4^th, when Mercury and the Sun conjunct in aspect.  What you’ve been coming to terms with on the inside will be very difficult to keep under wraps once this aspect occurs.  If the Truth hasn’t come out by then, it’ll definitely come out that day (or very shortly after).

Yet Venus is also in Sagittarius right now!  There is even more awareness of growth and expansion. You may find that you are more open to receiving abundance and love through the end of the week.  That is when Venus moves into Capricorn this Saturday November 26^th at 4:36a PST.  You may also find that your relationships are also growing and expanding in their presence or role in your life.  Venus may smooth a bit of the bluntness that can often arise in Sagittarian communications.

And on top of it all, there is the New Moon in Sagittarius on Thursday November 24^th at 10:10p PST.  For a day or so, that means there are 4 strong influences in Sagittarius!  The Moon adds an emotional component to the mix.  This may the perfect window for you to take an emotional risk, to embark on an emotional adventure, to experience emotional freedom that you may not usually be open to taking.

To go back to the big picture of Sun in Sagittarius, what is great about this time of year is that the intensity of the deeply emotional Scorpio is relieved and the freedom-loving and expansive Sagittarius takes over.  Growth and expansion and increase are the areas of focus now.

• How can we expand our life experience?
• How can we increase our knowledge and wisdom?
• How can we be more free or feel more free in our lives?
• How can we get to the real Truth of our lives and what our lives are about?

These are the questions that we may find ourselves asking as we go through this Sun in Sagittarius with Mercury Retrograde and Venus and the New Moon also in Sagittarius.  As we move through this next few weeks, we may awaken to the realization that the Truth is more paramount than ever.
