2015 Scorpio New Moon – Out of Hiding, Into Transformation

If there was one word to sum up the sign of Scorpio, it would be intense. There is nothing surface about this sign and as we hit the New Moon in Scorpio this Wednesday 11/11/2015 at 9:47am PST, powerful changes are underway. Some of you might be uncomfortable with the penetrating energy of Scorpio, which is understandable. However, while it is intense, I have tremendous respect for it. My own chart (and Grace’s chart, too) has a fair amount of Scorpionic/Plutonian energy, so this is native territory for us.

Anyways, let’s get to the nitty gritty of what this New Moon in Scorpio has in store for us. As you know, this moon phase is all about brand new beginnings. Scorpio is transformative. It symbolizes death and rebirth. So you’ll be getting a double dose of NEW, but this kind of new requires you to dig deep into those emotional/spiritual trenches and see them for what they are. The transformation comes when you dissolve/detach from an emotional way of being so you can enter into a “new life”, so to speak. Think of the phoenix bird rising from the ashes…

Scorpio energy will have you playing detective in your underground world of emotional/spiritual experiences, destroying the ones that don’t work and building a brand new system of operating. A literal transformation is possible, if you choose it. 

The 2015 Leo Full Moon – Don’t Hold Back!

The 2015 Leo Full Moon occurs today, Tuesday, 3rd February 2015, and is at its fullest exactly opposite the Aquarius Sun at 3:09p PST.

I refer to the Leo-Aquarius axis of the Zodiac wheel as the “axis of acknowledgment” as Aquarius and Leo are opposite signs.  On the Leo end, you may notice that you want to be acknowledged for who you are as an individual and for your own unique self-expression.  On the Aquarius end, you may notice that you want to be acknowledged for being a part of a greater collaborative effort and/or for what you uniquely bring to a collective effort (groups, teams, communities, and such).

Generally speaking, the Leo Full Moon reflects the light of the Aquarius Sun.  Being part of a group or community is important, but the Leo Full Moon helps remind you of your individuality and your unique contribution to the greater whole.  It’s not all about you only for your own sake, but it is about you being all of who you uniquely are so you can make your most brilliant contributions to the lives of others – contributions that only you can make.

Two Boomerangs and Two Rectangles – It’s a “Turning Point” Kind of Day

Yods are interesting configurations in astrology simply because they take two energies that complement each other and point to something that seems completely unrelated as the place where their energies are expressed.

Case and point: Ceres in Capricorn sextile Neptune in Pisces.  On 31st January 2015, these energies reveal a personal value system based upon ideals and dreams, and possibly fantasies or delusions – a value system that dictates the type of lifestyle you and/or others may want to live.  Ceres and Neptune each form quincunx aspects to Juno Retrograde in Leo which brings you into a greater awareness of the people who see your unique expression of Light and encourage it by acknowledging the Truth of who you are.

In other words, you begin to notice how others perceive you and the type of lifestyle you live.

However, this isn’t just a Yod – it’s a “Boomerang”.  There is an opposition involved here, and it’s Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius that opposes Juno Retrograde in Leo.  Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius invites you to pay attention to how the people and environments in your life give you feedback about who you are to or for them. This opposition helps you see not only who you are for others, but also who others are for you.  Through the influence of this configuration, you get to see which people, groups, teams, and communities truly nurture, support, and encourage your individual self-expression as well as which ones appreciate who you are as an individual for sharing yourself with them.

A Powerful Trio: The Cardinal T-Square, The Boomerang, & the Golden Rectangle of 14th January 2015

There are three major astrological configurations that are at their most exact tomorrow, Wednesday 14th February 2015 – a Nodal Cardinal T-Square, a Boomerang, and a Golden Rectangle.  These configurations literally converge to make for a potentially challenging, impactful, and rewarding day and week.

What’s great about these three configurations all hitting their peak at approximately the same time is that there will be a great deal of clarity that emerges from the events of the week if not the day.  Agendas will be revealed, actions will return results, and answers to questions will emerge.

The 14th January 2015 will not be a day to take lightly.  This isn’t to say that it will be a “bad” day – it may have some significant positive effect in the long run.  Yet, it has the potential to transform matters in a very powerful way.   In fact, having a day like this so early in the new calendar year may prove to be a profound day that may set the tone for many months if not many years to come.
