2016 Pisces New Moon /Total Solar Eclipse – A Great Awakening

The 2016 Pisces New Moon isn’t any New Moon – this event marks the genuine beginning of a healing process and the awakening of compassionate consciousness in a world which has been structured to allow anything but such an awakening. It’s no accident or coincidence that this 2016 Pisces New Moon at maximum phase at 5:54p PST also brings the only Total Solar Eclipse of 2016 reaching its maximum totality at 5:59p PST today, 8th March 2016.

During a Solar Eclipse, the Moon moves between the Sun and Earth, blocking the Sun’s light from our view. In a Total Solar Eclipse, the Moon’s shadow completely covers the Sun’s light except for a glow which persists around the edges. If we consider how this is showing up in the events of the world right now here in March 2016, there are many trying to obscure the Light of Truth with their over-the-top emotional and spiritual responses to the energetic shifts and changes which are occurring within and around us all. That Light, however, is determined to make itself known despite efforts to keep it from revealing Truth to All. Its subtle glow around the edges reminds us that there’s something more to life than the darkness that is temporarily in front of us…if we can hold on for a little while longer.

Ceres in Pisces – Comforting Compassion for All

Ceres entered the sign of Pisces at 10:40a PST on 28th January 2016. After Ceres in Aquarius may have had you reviewing and possibly reconsidering your personal morals and values through new or different social perspectives, you may now be gaining clarity about how your personal values may or may not align with your dreams, ideals, and aspirations…or with your spiritual or transcendental beliefs.

Ultimately, Ceres in Pisces represents universally comfortable values. Its intention is to create a perception of the world/Universe in which shared values and ideals transcend all differences that are prominent now – a world in which compassion, kindness, and genuine service reign supreme. What is could help us all heal and triumph over pain and suffering is to have compassion and a service-minded attitude toward one another. Kindness creates unity.

Therefore, as Ceres enters Pisces, you may find yourself more aware of your connections with everyone and everything around you. You might even be excited about making selfless or philanthropic contributions of service and/or resource in order to contribute to what you most value within All-That-Is.

“What the $#^!@& is Going On?” – Recent Events through the Astrology & Numerology of November-December 2015 – Part Two

As mentioned in Part One of this series, I’ve had a lot of people asking me about recent events and what has been happening in the world lately. I’ve hesitated to address some of these issues specifically because they are so emotionally, intellectually, religiously, racially, and politically charged, yet I’m choosing to do so anyway. It is not my intention to upset or offend anyone, but I also understand that in this current energetic climate, I’m bound to tick someone off. Therefore, I again ask for you to be objective in your reading of the follow content as I am being objective in writing it – see if it applies to you as I get to do with myself in everything I write and share with you.

I’ve been introducing you to the current energetic climate by introducing one component at a time. I feel with the event in the last few weeks, it’s important to visit each influence individually before delving into how they’ve come together in recent events. Part Two continues to explain the components which influence the events.

Before I cover the influences of “the middle bodies” here in Part Two, let’s quickly recap.

2015 Sagittarius New Moon – The Realities & Responsibilities of Growth & Expansion

The passionate and fiery sign Sagittarius is the main character for the last New Moon of 2015. Friday December 11th at 2:29 am – the notions of truth-seeking, exploring and going beyond our limits is calling for some new intentions on our part.

A new sense of freedom and optimism may color this time of year just as much you overdoing things and promising more than you can deliver. Sagittarius aims for things far and wide. It needs to expand and explore. It seeks truth and it wants to share it.

With the New Moon in this sign – its ruler Jupiter wants to bring positive energy and growth into our lives. This energy may also be quite aggressive because of Libra Mars & Aries Uranus Rx . These signify pushes to bring balance and justice into our lives, and these pushes will also serve as a catalysts or fuel for growth and expansion. With this happening on a universal 4 day (for some time zones) whatever foundations developed in this time may hang around for awhile. However for other time zones, the New Moon lands on a universal 5 day – so expect a fair amount of change and movement.

2015 Chiron Direct in Pisces – Healing Yourself to Heal the World

Chiron is known as “the wounded healer”, excellent in solving problems and healing wounds in practical and purposeful ways as the ruler of Virgo…often because it has had those same wounds and challenges itself at one point. It shares with others its means for regaining its health and well-being.

Chiron has been traveling in the sign opposite its sign of rulership, Pisces, since 2011. This is great because Pisces is also a sign of service, though it focuses on large-scale service – charity, philanthropy, and/or spiritual or transcendental service to All-That-Is. It recognizes the interconnectedness of everyone and everything which is a very noble and inclusive perspective, but Piscean energy can also encourage victimization or martyrdom in individuals or groups when they don’t feel included or connected.

Chiron in Pisces was traveling in its latest phase of retrograde motion since 24th June 2015. Retrograde motion means that the energy being generated by Chiron in Pisces was being projected toward you from the outside-in rather than generated and projected from within you out into the world. While Chiron in Pisces was retrograde, you may have become more aware of how wounded the world is…beyond yourself. Instead of feeling like you were a victim, you were given a chance to see what real victimization really is and how your experience of being a victim may pale in comparison. The old cliché was confirmed – “No matter how badly you think you’ve got it, there’s always someone who’s got something worse”.

The Nodal Axis in Virgo-Pisces – Exercises and Lessons in Service

After almost 19 months in Libra and Aries, the Moon’s Nodal Axis changes signs. At 5:05p PST today, 11th November, the North Node moves into the sign of Virgo, which means the South Node moves into the sign of Pisces. The Moon’s nodes are currently in retrograde motion, as they are most of the time. That is why they move “in reverse” natural Zodiac order through the signs, and why they are now moving from Aries-Libra into Pisces/Virgo.

The Moon’s Nodal Axis is a collective karmic axis. It reveals the bigger picture lessons we are being asked to learn under its energy in order to evolve as a collective whole (humanity, Oneness). The South Node represents the karmic lessons we’ve already mastered, while the North Node represents the lessons we are now being called to learn and master in order to progress. Yet the work’s not done once we learn and master the North Node – we get to bring our North Node lessons learned back to the South Node and practice that energy with new awareness.

To understand where we’re going, let’s first discuss where we’ve been.

2015 Mercury in Scorpio – Deep Thoughts, Deeper Feelings, Deepest Truths

Mercury entered the sign of Scorpio yesterday, 1st November 2015 at 11:06p PST, moving our thoughts and words into a deeper, more profound, and more decisive energy.

Scorpio represents those deep, dark, emotional and spiritual depths of ourselves that we are often most afraid of. Opposite Taurus, Scorpio leads us into the emotional truths of our desires – truths which are often uncomfortable for us to express and reveal, and truths which are often unexpected by others to learn and see or experience. Yet sharing these expressions of ourselves is how intimacy is developed in relationships of all kinds. These are the expressions of emotion which connect us to others on a more profound level and in more meaningful and enduring ways.

Scorpio often gets a bad rap for being closed-off and secretive. Yet wouldn’t you play things close to the vest if you believed that your deepest emotions and darkest secrets were vulnerable? (Yep – that’s what I thought.) That’s why it’s important to understand and remember that Scorpio is all about trust.

2015 Taurus Full Moon – Emotional Attachments to Material & Physical Things

On Tuesday October 27th at 5:05am PDT, the Moon becomes full in the sign of Taurus as it opposes the Sun in Scorpio.

This time around, your emotional vulnerabilities will get some exposure by way of your Taurus-like needs. On the plane of our material-financial-physical security, Taurus wants (and needs) stability and foundation. Change does not come easy, as this fixed sign knows that part of having a good life, is to ensure that our basic material-financial-physical needs are met. It is not a superficial kind of thing either, because having a strong foundation is an imperative part to building the kind of life you want. There are some basic necessities that need to be met and Taurus is all about that.

So how does this play into the Taurus Full Moon? Well, in opposition to the Sun in Scorpio, we get to see how our (emotional) need for security is manifested in how we go about obtaining our resources.  Feeling the attraction to power & influence may be one aspect of that security. The other side of the coin, may be connected to protecting yourself from becoming vulnerable – so obtaining stuff may make you appear as if you are capable and strong.  There is almost (always) an emotional undercurrent as to why we view having things equals stability/security.

World Powers Essay #1 – The United States – The Healing Starts at Home

So my little follow-up post to yesterday’s Mars in Virgo-Pluto Direct in Capricorn post has become more extensive than I expected.

As I looked into the dynamics of each nation involved in recent world events, I realized that it may be best to simply write about each nation.

That said, since I’m an American,  I guess I’ll start with the U.S. This is easier in some ways because I live here, but it’s also more difficult because the United States of America has had a rough couple of weeks, and frankly, a rough couple of years. Most recently, another mass school shooting in Oregon, an “accidental” military bombing of a Doctors Without Borders hospital in Afghanistan, Russia stepping into partnership with Syria and into a prominent leadership role in bringing order to the Middle East region, accusations and questions about possible human rights violations by its Middle East allies and in its own military and intelligence activities in the region, and with religion, immigration, racism, sexism, and abortion continuing to be hot-button issues in its internal affairs, the U.S. has a lot on its plate…and most of it isn’t very appetizing.

Yet what I’d like to do in this post is explain why this is happening and what is happening to the U.S. as a whole right now. I’ll say it now – this isn’t going to be pretty, yet I don’t believe in sugar-coating what I see in any chart I study. Though some of you may take offense and/or accuse me of looking at my country with a n objectively critical eye, I’m only stating what I see for the U.S. now and ahead through the eyes of astrology and numerology. I hope it helps us understand what is happening, and that it helps us get through all that is happening now and next with an optimistic and hopeful outlook for our future.

This essay will be more technical than most of my posts, so I hope I don’t lose anyone with the details. For astrologers, I’ve used the Sibly chart for the U.S. in this analysis.

That said, let’s begin.

2015 Mars in Virgo and Pluto Direct in Capricorn – The Transformational Power of Practical Action

Okay. This is a very long post as there’s some catching up to do. Let’s get to it!

Before the epic Aries Full Moon-Total Lunar Eclipse on 27th-28th September, we had a couple of major transits which I didn’t address, yet definitely need to be addressed now.

First, Mars entered the sign of Virgo on 24th September, ushering in a period of practical action. Virgo is mutable earth energy, and is associated with healing and problem-solving on all levels. Mars is the planet of leadership, initiative, and assertive (sometimes aggressive) action, reflecting how things are getting done. With Mars now in Virgo, we must walk our talk when it comes to implementing changes so our lives can become healthy and functional or at least more healthy and functional than before.

It’s safe to say that everyone is currently doing something in some way to solve problems, heal wounds, improve their health or well-being, and/or make things more efficient and effective in their lives & the lives of others…and they will continue to do so for the next few weeks.  This practical activity streak will be running now through 12th November, and seeks to make things function for the better for everyone involved and affected by whatever is occurrring.

It will also be a time in which actions will be taken because ‘life must go on’, and the intentions behind our actions will be to determine how our lives go on. Some of us are keenly aware of how our actions determine how our everyday lives are functioning, for better and for worse. The actions we choose to take now will affect how our everyday lives will function in the coming days, weeks, months, and years to come.

Another big transit event occurred the same day – Pluto in Capricorn turned back to direct motion on 24th September. What is profound about this one is that each of us is now in a position to seek and reclaim our own personal power in the face of the changing world around us. As the structures and institutions we’ve come to depend on for so long are undergoing change or collapsing, we each and all may be realizing just how much of our personal power and identity may be wrapped up in them. As we are forced to concede and dissolve our ego-driven agendas, we may find our True selves through surrender and humility.

You see, as things around us change, we too must change. Those changes are easier for some of us than others. In fact, some of us may find that our lives are experiencing minor adjustments while others of us are undergoing massive transformations. Under retrograde, we may have found ourselves at the mercy of those changes and needed to pay attention to recognize opportunities to claim our power in the midst of chaos. Under direct motion, we can now create opportunities to reclaim our individual and collective power to effect and influence the changes which are occurring.

Under Capricorn Pluto Direct, the questions are now …1) Who are we becoming?  2) Can we change the objectives of our societal institutions? Can we change the definitions and benchmarks of success and accomplishment in order to transform and empower ourselves?

There have been a couple of transits involving Virgo Mars and Capricorn Pluto which have occurred since their changes of sign and/or direction.

The first was Virgo Mars square Sagittarius Saturn, most exact on 25th September, which challenged you to change the daily routine of your life. You may have begun to see how the actions you take every day may be the reason why you feel either focused or stuck in your life. You may have learned (hopefully not the hard way) that you – yes, that person you see when you stand alone in front of a mirror – are the reason you are productive or stagnant in your life. If you aren’t living your everyday life the way you want to be, under this transit the question was, “What are you going to do to change that?”

This morning, Tuesday, 6th October, Pluto will be in square aspect with the Libra 9 Sun, most exact at 7:14a PDT. This influence – felt from 3rd-9th October – will likely be an eye-opener as you may have a first-hand experience facing the challenges of a changing world. You’ll start to recognize that you may not be able to interact with others the way you’ve done in the past. The long-standing institutional and authoritative realities are changing; therefore the way you relate to others must also change. Also, 9 numerological energy is about applying authoritative energy to get things done…yet Libra 9 can sometimes be a bully’s energy, playing judge and jury by making unilateral decisions in the name of equality, fairness, and justice of all parties involved in order to achieve a desired result. Under this Pluto-Sun square, you may experience how the world is changing in a way where the bullies won’t get their way anymore…or at least not without a fight. Those in the bully roles will be fully revealed and the old institutional and societal structures of the past will no longer be strong enough to support them. This now brings questions of priorities – what really needs to get done now in order for true balance, equality, and justice to be established? What needs to be addressed immediately…and what can wait?

On the same day, Virgo Mars will make exact opposition to Pisces Neptune Retrograde in Pisces, most exact at 7:52p PDT. This one (felt from 2nd-10th October) will be a curious one as it comes time to put some tangible, real-world actions behind imaginative ideas and ideals. There will be some successes as some of these ideas and ideals will find practical implementation in the day-to-day of life. However, there will be many others which are found to be a bit too lofty or delusional to be implemented – they will be the casualties of factual and practical reality.

ALL three of these reality checks occur(ed) on a 6 universal day, numerologically speaking. These are days on which finding solutions to problems, healing wounds, and making things function more effectively are a priority. These are also days on which emotional nurturing and care – compassion – will go a long way for the better. Those who hold compassion and kindness in their hearts may find themselves getting through these challenging transits with much more ease and acceptance than those who are bullying and/or throwing tantrums trying to get their way.

But the most powerful time of all involving these two bodies will be from 11th-19th October when the following series of powerful transits occur:

It starts with Virgo Jupiter trine Capricorn Pluto on the 11th, most exact at 4:51p PDT, encouraging the growth and expansion of anyone or anything which aligns with the infrastructure changes already underway. The majority positions in any societal or institutional situations will become undeniably obvious during this time, and will likely become overwhelmingly dominant. This is a 2 universal day numerologically, and this dynamic will likely bring an end to any partnerships which hold back the practical implementation of far-reaching institutional changes. New partnerships may also form – partnerships which are in alignment with the new institutions and structures of power which are just now beginning to emerge.

Next, our two focal planets meet as Virgo Mars trines Capricorn Pluto on 15th October, most exact at 8:36p PDT. This day is likely to be the zenith of proactive pushes to both instigate and accelerate institutional change. It is, yet again, a 6 universal day, so these changes are likely intended to bring healing and nurturing solutions for many through these practical acts of institutional transformation. It should be noted that Mars is also approaching conjunction with Jupiter at this time (their conjunction most exact at 3:40p PDT on the 17th), meaning that these will probably be obvious and significant actions revealing and progressing the afore-mentioned emerging power partnerships. Though most of these acts will be very clear from the get-go, some of the intentions and objectives of these bold actions may not be clear at first. However, they will become more clear as their effects play out over the coming months and years.

Pluto in Capricorn makes two more powerful transits during the 2015 Libra Sun period – a square to Libra Mercury, most exact at 2:22p PDT on 22nd October; and a trine with Virgo Venus, most exact at 12:45p PDT on 23rd October. Under the Mercury-Pluto square (felt 20th-24th October), there are likely to be very vocal challenges to institutional power – on this 4 universal day, the demand for change will likely reveal its strength. Under the Venus-Pluto trine (felt 19th-26th October), some extremely potent strategic and/or diplomatic relationships could be formed in order to strengthen or solidify institutional power and influence, for better or worse. These new relationships will very likely shake and test the old ones, dissolving those which no longer have reason to continue, and forcing balance and/or equalization upon the ones which do manage to survive. These two transits will be a testament to the powers of partnership and communication.

Many of us may already see how these shifts of power are occurring on the world stage. I’ll be following this post with a part two later today or tomorrow to address some of those shifts and how these Mars and Pluto transits are playing their parts to affect them.

However, I’m also curious to know how it’s all affecting you on a personal level – as an individual and/or as family or community. I know these transits (among others) have been challenging me to discard parts of my ego identity in order to step fully into my personal power and my True self-expression – it’s been challenging, but I’m pretty sure it’s for the better.
