Cardinal T-Square with New Moon in Libra – The Perfect Storm

Okay.  Take a deep breath, because this one is a doosy.

First, there’s the Libra 7 Sun opposite Uranus Retrograde in Aries, which was exact yesterday October 3rd, 2013 at 7:12a PDT.  The Libra 7 Sun has a lot of people examining their one-on-one relationships of all kinds and wondering, “What is this relationship/partnership doing for me?  How is this helping me be who I need to be in the world?”  Uranus in Aries has us looking at our individual expression, and as it moves in retrograde motion, we are being asked to ourselves and what it is we really want for ourselves and our lives and whether or not our unique expressions are being supported by the communities we participate in.  These Sun and Uranus energies actually balance each other out, as this opposition helps use our relationships as reflections of our perspectives and approaches to relating to the rest of humanity.  We can find our places and roles in the big picture of humanity through this opposition.

But then there’s Pluto in Capricorn, which is now squaring both the Sun and Uranus in a Cardinal T-Square configuration.  This makes things VERY complicated.

Pluto in Capricorn is here to clear out whatever structures and institutions don’t produce results or achieve their desired goals.  Pluto, the ruler of Scorpio, is about power and influence and it deals in extremes.  Its all-or-nothing behavior makes for some very interesting dynamics when we are trying to balance our individual self-expressions with our community needs.  As the structures that tend to define our roles, places, and status in society are being eliminated so that newer, better structures and institutions can be built in their places, we are being challenged to make our own way through these major if not catastrophic changes.  The world is transforming, and we are being asked to transform along with it.

Therein lies the rub.  For those of us who are resistant to change, this is a very demanding and stressful time.  But just when you thought this couldn’t get worse…

…there is the New Moon in Libra later today, October 4th at 5:34p PDT.  This whole dynamic becomes excruciatingly intense as our emotions get into the mix.  Be ready for some serious wailing and gnashing of teeth as people desperately holding onto what used to be start getting their ultimate reality check:

Things are never going to be the same again.

This is “The Perfect Storm” – this is the one that starts taking down all the outgrown and outdated ways, and takes it all down for real.  The damage that has been done is done.  There is no going back; there is no taking it back.  There is nothing that can be said or done to make it go back to the way it was.  This is it.  This is change-or-die time.

The sad thing is that so much of the pain and suffering that people experience right now can be transformed by admitting the difficult truths at hand – by admitting that the goals were not achieved, that the results were not what were expected or desired, or that the big payoff isn’t coming.  There is much salvation to be had in admitting one’s own mistakes and missteps in actions and judgments.

In doing so, will things go back to the way they were? No.  But will you be able to move forward from the reality of where you are now with clarity and honesty and hopefully integrity?  Maybe.   It’s up to you.

  • How much are you willing to own up to and take responsibility for?
  • How many of your goals and ambitions are you realizing are outdated and needing to be cleared away or transformed?
  • And how much of your pride and ego-driven agenda(s) are you willing to give up to allow things to move forward?

This could be a wonderful time to create or define new parameters for relationships of all kinds.   Boundaries can be re-drawn.  Structures can finally be cleared for something new to be built.  There is always new dawn and under this incredibly dynamic energy, it gets to come when you decide to let it come.

Later in the day is better for making these connections, however.  As the Cardinal T- square + New Moon effect really kicks in, there could be a major tension release…and even if it doesn’t seem positive in the moment, it may actually be a positive one in the long run.  The partnerships that emerge from the rubble out of this frame of time will be mindful of the changes happening in each individual party/person, both of you as one, and how you each and both navigate these major changes happening in the world.  You may also want to take note of the Mercury-Neptune trine that is phasing out this day as well – if you’ve been very open and honest and candid with each other in developing this connection, this could be the beginning of very beautiful new partnerships and a very beautiful new world.

It all depends on what you’re willing to admit to, own up to, and take responsibility for letting go of, and take initiative in changing.  You call your shots.  You get to decide just how quickly this change is going happen.  Just remember – you don’t get to decide alone and you don’t get to decide for others.

Each member of humanity now gets to decide for themselves.

Saturn in Scorpio trine Chiron Retrograde in Pisces – The Positive of Negatives

Trines are considered positive aspects in astrology, so Saturn in Scorpio trine Chiron Retrograde in Pisces – exact as of 2:37a PDT this morning, October 2nd, 2013 –  is an interesting one as it brings a couple of elements into play that don’t have the best reputations for being positive.

Let’s start with Saturn, which is known as the authority figure and disciplinarian of the Zodiac.  It has a reputation for being rather oppressive and restrictive, and an overall wet blanket for any sort of fun that might be had.  In Scorpio, it shows up as extreme measures being taken to focus and discipline one’s emotional-spiritual depths.

Yet when I see Saturn in Scorpio, I see the focus and discipline needed to go into your emotional-spiritual depths and clean up the mess that’s way down in there.  In other words, it’s a good energy to help you deal with your demons.

When Chiron is in Pisces, it deals with the emotional-spiritual wounds you may have around being of selfless service to others or in recognizing your right to experiencing unconditional love.  Pisces is known as the sign of visionary self-sacrifice.  With Chiron in this sign, if you’ve ever given up what you wanted or needed to take care of yourself or to make your life practically work in the pursuit of unconditional love, a romantic ideal, or for spiritual transcendence; you may now be facing up to how you’ve hurt your ability to function in the real world.

However, Chiron is in retrograde motion, and even though things may be happening outside of you to bring you self-martyrdom to your attention, the real spiritual awakening is happening within you.  You are becoming aware of how you’ve been and what you’ve done to allow this self-sacrifice to occur on the inside, and as result, you get to buckle down and set boundaries to make sure you get the emotional-spiritual clarity and healing that you need.

That reveals how Saturn in Scorpio can assist you now, and that is what is so positive about this trine.

Saturn in Scorpio trine Chiron Retrograde in Pisces is a great combination for dealing with your demons and allowing yourself to see and deal with the damage they have done to your life.  Once you see them and their aftermath, you can deal with them, clear them out, and heal the wounds they’ve left behind.

By owning up to your demons by taking responsibility for them and what you’ve allowed them to do to you and others, you are in a position of power in dealing with them.  Then you can create new rules for yourself and set new boundaries with others that enable you to transform the course of your life from a truly healed place.  As long as you deny ownership for your demons, they will continue to run you and your life.  But when you accept responsibility for them, you own them and you can run them out of your life.  There can be so much positive that comes out of dealing with the negatives in your life, but you really and truly have to be ready and committed to doing so.

Are you really ready for emotional healing?

  • Are you really ready to take responsibility for yourself and your life circumstances?   Are you ready to stop blaming others for where you have chosen to be in your life?
  • Are you really ready to own up to what you have and make the most of it from here, rather than trying to force others to give you what you want or think you should have?
  • Are you really ready to face your wounds and the demons that have caused you to blame others or to expect others to take care of and provide for you?

Are you really ready to make these changes knowing that your life will never be the same once you take the steps?  The choice is up to you.

The effects of this transit have been felt since the morning of September 11th, and will continue to be felt strongly  through the afternoon of October 22nd, 2013.  Make the most of this extraordinary opportunity to heal yourself on a spirit and soul level.

Mars in Capricorn – Get It Done

Mars represents initiative and action and Capricorn represents ambition and goals.  So as Mars enters Capricorn this evening, Friday, November 16th at 6:37p PST, this combination helps assure that everything done toward the earnest achievement or accomplishment of a goal will have very good odds of making progress if not achieving the desired results.

That said, Mars in Capricorn will be sure to influence us in a way that gives us all a sense of purpose and urgency to get things done.

Procrastination has no chance against this influence.  In fact, you may find that your efforts to procrastinate or delay matters may prove to be more painful than actually doing whatever it is you are trying not to do.

When I say “trying not to do”, I don’t necessarily mean that you don’t want to do it.  It’s probably the exact opposite of that.  It’s likely something that you do really want to do or accomplish (or have wanted to do or accomplish for a really long time), yet you’ve continued to talk yourself out of getting it done again and again.

With Sun, Mercury Retrograde, Saturn (Capricorn’s ruling planet) and the North Node all in Scorpio as Mars enters Capricorn, there is no doubt that you’re being pushed to handle your business in certain life matters.  “Which matters?” you ask. Well, those would be whichever matters are represented by the house(s) Scorpio occupies in your individual astrology chart.

For example, in my personal chart, Capricorn sits across  my 4th and 5th houses.  So my goals to focus on and take action on will address matters of home and family (4th) and in my creative and recreational pursuits (5th).

Whatever choice(s) you find you need to make regarding your Capricorn-influenced matters will need to be decisive – passivity won’t serve you well at all at this time.  This is not a time to let things happen.  It is a time to make things happen.

That said, making things happen and getting things done isn’t about forcing your will onto others.  It is about personal responsibility and ownership for how your life is showing up, and you doing what you can or need to do in order to move a particular matter (or matters) forward.  It is about you taking the necessary actions to move yourself forward toward the accomplishment of your goals.  However, it is not about pushing, forcing, or otherwise manipulating others into taking responsibility for your successes or failures.  In this 2012 Mars in Capricorn cycle, it’s all about you doing whatever you need to do for you to move forward and upward. You must take the initiative in moving toward the fulfillment and manifestation of your dreams and goals.

Mars in Sagittarius was about taking actions to discover and bring forward the Truth of matters.  Mars in Capricorn is about taking the necessary actions to accomplish your goals in alignment rooted in the truths you discovered through your actions before now.

This energy will serve you well in this last few days of the 2012 Scorpio Sun cycle.  There is still plenty of darkness to explore.  Mars in Capricorn will give you a sense of direction as you continue to explore that darkness.  You’ll also have a better sense of what you are looking for, or how to use what you find to your advantage.

As we transition into the 2012 Sagittarius Sun cycle on November 21st, keep in mind – the Sun will move into Sagittarius, but Mercury, Saturn, the North Node, and Venus will remain in or move into Scorpio.  The darkness will still be there in abundance, but the Sagittarius Sun will begin bringing the truths you have been seeking to Light.

Yet there is also a chance that what comes out of the Scorpio darkness may present more of a hindrance or obstacle than a transformative solution.  The key in the face of these challenging truths is to remember what you want to accomplishRemember your goal. By keeping your eyes on the prize, you may be able to figure out how to use what seems like a detriment to your positive advantage.  And with your new-found advantage, you may find creative and powerful ways to “get it done”…whatever it may be for you.

Getting things done in this 2012 Mars in Capricorn cycle can help you mature and secure your future in alignment with your goals.  Make the most of this opportunity of Mars in Capricorn.  Mars will be in Capricorn until December 25th.

New Moon in Leo – You Shine It, You Own It

With the Sun in Leo these last few weeks, there has been a lot of focus on yourself and who you are choosing to be in and for the world, and who have around you who supports or detriments your ability to shine your unique expression of Light into the world.  The Sun, of course, is still in Leo for another few days, and Mercury is continuing its presence in the sign in direct motion for a couple more weeks.

So by now, you know you have an unique expression of Light inside you that is shining outwardly to the world, whether you are aware of it or not.  And unless you have chosen to hide out in a cave somewhere, with both Sun and Mercury in Leo right now, everyone sees what you have to offer from the inside out.

Now the Moon joins the Sun and Mercury in Leo, and the Moon conjuncts the Sun at 8:55a PDT on Friday, August 17th, 2012.  This conjunction is also known as New Moon in Leo.

The questions at hand are:

  • Do you see yourself completely?
  • Do you fully realize who you are and what you have to share with others?
  • And do you own your complete self-expression from the inside out?

With the New Moon in Leo, there is an opportunity to not only know your Light but to own your Light.  When I say ‘own’, I mean to claim it and be responsible and accountable for it from the inside out.  Owning the expression of Light you shine – owning your unique identity – means to be able to say “Yeah, this is me. What about it?”  to anyone who questions your outward self-expression.  It also means that you are willing to own up to who you are being in your life (for better and worse) because you feel the truth of your self-expression in and from your inner being.

This inward talk of feelings and emotions is heart language, and for those of you who aren’t comfortable with your emotions or with expressing your emotions, this may be a challenging time for you as you are being called upon to be aware of and own your inner feelings as much as you are being aware of and owning your outward expression at this time.  True ownership is being able to inwardly and outwardly express yourself.  Feeling a certain way on the inside and expressing yourself outwardly in alignment with that inner Truth is the ultimate of ownership for who you are being in and for the world.

As stated in the previous blog post and earlier in this one, with the Sun and Mercury both in Leo right now, who you truly are and how you truly feel is probably no secret…to you or anyone else.  Not much can be hidden in the glow of the Leo Sun, and especially with Mercury in Leo, it’s not as if people aren’t already seeing you or talking about what they see.  The question under this New Moon in Leo is whether or not you choose to take 100% ownership for who you are being in your outward expression.

If taking conscious ownership of your self-expression is a challenge for you, it may be because you are not outwardly expressing yourself in full alignment with your inner Truth.  You may find yourself saying things that defend or justify your actions and behaviors – things like, “That’s not really me” or “That’s not what I meant”.  Those types of statements are clues that your emotions and actions are not in alignment with each other, and there is something you get to examine about yourself as to why they aren’t reflecting the Truth of who you know yourself to be and what you meant to express.

New Moons are great times to start something new – it brings an emotional awareness of your self-expression energy, which allows for an emotional renewal of energy.  This Leo New Moon is a perfect opportunity to align how you choose to express yourself on the outside with who you really are on the inside.  It’s a chance to show the world your True colors and to feel comfortable and confident in revealing them to others.

It’s also a chance to remember – if you’re the one who put it out there, it’s yours.  You shine it, you own it.

Thanks for reading and sharing.  Until next post…
